This book was advertised as a thriller but I would categorize it as a thriller/romance. I don't read "contemporary romances" as they have the same plot. But this book was interesting beginning to end. The romance didn't get in the way of the story and it keeps you guessing till the end. You think you know who the bad guy is but something happens that makes you second guess yourself. Good book, I enjoyed it.

A good read; filled with dread and suspense, the gripping story line was balanced somewhat by an interwoven love interest
First off, let me start by saying Morgan Mandel is talented, but the storyline was not great. There were elements that kept me guessing, but toward the end, the gore factor really went up. It wasn't necessary to be that crude, I don't think. In the beginning, I wasn't sure who was the bad guy, but the guy who I ended up rooting for struck me as undisciplined and kind of gross because he couldn't seem to keep himself under control when the girl was around.
Snags and holds your interest throughout. Written in the "Detective Columbo" style, you've figured out who is committing the crimes and eventually you know why. The problem - how long will it take for the authorities to uncover the perpetrator? Keeps you on the edge of your seat right to the end.
This book kept my interest for the most part. It was a bit drawn out and long in places, I felt too long.
It does have suspence and thrills and romance. A bit confusing at times, I wasn't sure what was going on a few times.
But all in all I did enjoy the book.

Pretty good book, however it was predominately a love story rather
then a murder mystery, I prefer the mystery to be dominant.

It was quite repetitive in regard to " I love her, but can't let her know it " and then equally throughout the book, " I love him, but can't let him know it "

This book kind of rambled on and didn't really go anywhere. Yes the two main characters had feelings for each other but every chapter was the same. It was also rather unbelievable that the villain could commit all these murders and get away with them. And we kept hearing over and over how his mother abused him. Enough already. The story line was ok, it just could have been written better.
As a reader I try very hard to give a good fair review of the authors writing style and encouragement to continue. This story this author has created is a very good story, but for me the flow was not quite as good as I had hoped it would be. I would hope that this author would rewrite this story at some point since the basic story is very good.
