Kellan Teague, an orphan, is whisked away from the boarding school for psions by Dr. Olivia Hutchins to take part in a military organization called The Program. I loved Anne McCaffery's Dragonriders series. She developed a complete world that includes not only the dragonriders but the Harper series.This story may not be written by Anne McCaffery and it doesn't rival her dragonriders series. There is no crossover here and both series are wonderful on their own merits without an attempt to copy Pern's plot or world. Rather, it's as good as dragonriders and I would be hard pressed to make a choice between the two. I read this book in one sitting; I just could not put it down.
This book provides a perfect ending for a second book and has so much potential for a series. I look forward to seeing how Antonia develops the relationship between Jericho, Jeriah, and Kellan. More books please!

Kellan's Dragons proved to be a delightful story with an interesting twist on the usual dragon theme. The world Antonia Tiranth creates draws the reader in and holds them spellbound till the drama is played out in full. Recommended reading.
And I'm quite happy it isn't. This is a YA fantasy and whoever put those tags on should stop it. Anyway, on to the review.
Absolutely great addition to dragon lore. I believe Antonia has a winner series here. The plot twists were both surprising and believable. It takes a great imagination to pull that off.
The first person tone of Kellan is spot-on for her situation. Who wouldn't be cranky to wake up with a splitting headache and find out you're linked to an even crankier dragon?
Great fun. I look forward to the sequels.
A nice easy read, leaving you ready for the second book. Check out her short stories too.. She has another set called the Quickening a little too romancy for my taste but very well written.
